A Nigerian victim of human trafficking has narrated the harrowing ordeal they suffered in the hands of their principals. The victim, whose name was not revealed, shared her story in Bein City, Edo State during a Roundtable on Migration and Human Trafficking organised by the Nigerian Senate. The victim who is now married and expecting a baby with her husband stated that she was 19 when she was trafficked from Edo State to Russia and forced into prostitution for two years. She said: “They told me I was going into prostitution for six months. “I was going there to make money to further my education. “We had to sleep with different kinds of men. It was on the street. We were standing on the road. “She (my madam) would say no (we can’t stop work), there is a tissue she used to give to us to block it (the menstruation). She does not allow us to stay at home. “We paid our madam for food, clothes, and also contributed money for the house rent. We bought the condoms ourselves.” ...

A trader at Ladipo market, Kelvin Duru has landed in trouble after he engaged a sex worker in a popular hotel but refused to pay for extra rounds of sex with the 32-year old Blessing Isi in Lagos.  The request for extra money caused serious quarrel between Kelvin and Blessing and in the process he gave her blows and injured her on the mouth. A 33-year old single lady, Morenikeji Oke has been arrested for allegedly battering a housewife, Abiola Akubor after she had warned her to forget her husband because he belonged to her. The incident happened at Muyili Ashode Street in the Pipeline area of Ejigbo, Lagos where Oke resided and ran a drinking joint. The management of Air Peace has confirmed report by the governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose that cows took over the Akure airport runway on Saturday. The management speaking to Vanguard on phone said that flight P4 7002 from Lagos had to delay landing into Akure Airport today (Saturday) when the pilot-in-command sighted cows on the runway at about 12.15pm. On being alerted by control tower, aviation security personnel of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN AVSEC) quickly intervened and cleared the runway. The flight was eventually cleared to land after about seven minutes. Our guests on board were all calm while the delay lasted. The aircraft departed for Lagos at about 1.06 with full escort from FAAN security personnel. A Dutch pilot was reportedly forced to make an emergency landing after a passenger's refusal to stop farting sparked a mid-air fight. Transavia Airlines flight HV6902 was headed to Amsterdam from Dubai when the pilot brought the plane down in Vienna, telling authorities the passengers were on a rampage, Mirror.co.uk reports.  The source of the anger was an elderly man who was noisily passing wind and refused to stop when disturbed passengers asked him to. Even the pilot became involved and asked the man to restrain himself but he refused. A fight then broke out, forcing the pilot to land the plane and have the assailants removed from the plane. Four people who were seated near the man were escorted from the plane in Austria.
